Swarna Bhasma :
Swarna Bhasma (also called Swarn Bhasm & Suvarna Bhasma) is an ayurvedic medicine used for increasing non-specific immunity and in the treatment of a wide range of diseases. It also acts as an adjuvant for various medicines and herbs and boosts their actions and increases their efficacy. According to Ayurveda, it is a good nervine tonic and improves overall health. It increases lifespan, intelligence, memory, skin glow and prevents several diseases. In addition, it increases strength and endurance and improves mental as well as physical performance.
Swarna Bhasma is helpful in phthisis, tuberculosis, chronic fever, loss of vitality, asthma, cough, burning sensation, acidity, microbial infection, toxicity, infertility etc. It can be used in all diseases along with different adjuvants or other medicines or herbs to speed up the recovery process and to increase the body resistance to diseases.
Pharmacological Actions
Swarna bhasma is potent antitoxin, immunomodulatory, nootropic, anti-rheumatic, antimicrobial and antiviral in actions. It is also a nervine tonic.

Swarna Bhasma for Heart
Swarna bhasma is used in the treatment of heart diseases. It provides strength to the heart and heart muscles. It increases blood circulation to various parts of the heart, detoxifies the blood, and cleanses the coronary arteries.
Purifies the blood
The digestion process and the body system release many toxins. Some external factors also play a role for toxin accumulation in the body. Infections due to bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms release many toxins inside the body. For releasing out these toxins, Suvarna bhasma is used in Ayurveda. Sometimes, people suffer from diseases of unknown etiology. In these cases, Ayurveda treats them with Suvarna bhasma and other medicines according to the predominance of dosha (Vata, Pitta & Kapha). Tuberculosis
Swarna Bhasma is a drug of choice in Ayurveda for tuberculosis (T.B.). It has antimicrobial, anti-toxin and antiviral effects in the body. Swarn bhasma is beneficial in the initial stages of tuberculosis. It acts as a strong antibacterial agent and help to destroy the tubercular bacilli responsible or causing the infections.
Non-productive Cough
When a person suffers from a dry cough in which wheezing sound is present, the Swarn bhasma along with Shringa Bhasma, Praval Pishti, and Giloy Sat is beneficial to remove the thick sputum from the lungs and helps in easier breathing and manages dry non-productive cough.
Mental Disorders
Swarn Bhasma is also beneficial ayurvedic medicine for mental disorders. Swarn Bhasma also reduces the inflammation in the brain.
The typical symptoms in which it works well are insensitivity, burning sensation in the whole body, weeping like a child, unable to tolerate the sound, hitting hands and feet with the wall, physical aggressiveness, irritation, crying loudly, etc. In these symptoms, Swarn bhasma is given along with Mukta Pishti.
Depression
If a patient likes to live isolated and does not tolerate other people, the Swarn Bhasma is a drug of choice in this case. Generally, gold ash is helpful in symptoms such as anxiousness, lack of attention, ignorance, irritability, feeling of unhappiness, isolating from others, inability to relax etc. Pacing is also a sign of depression and person continues thinking and making useless plans. In this case, Suvarna Bhasma should be given with Mukta Pishti and Abhrak Bhasma.
Skin diseases
Suvarna bhasma is used in preparations that are beneficial for chronic skin diseases. Sometimes, gold is required in psoriasis, chronic atrophic dermatitis, etc.
