Tal Sindoor Uses, Ingredients & Dosage :
Tal Sindoor is an Ayurvedic formulation of inorganic origin. This medicine is Kupipakwa Rasayan of Ayurveda. Kupi-pakwa Rasayana are those medicines which contain inorganic materials and processed in Kanch-Kupi which is similar to glass flask (special glass vessel used in preparation of Rasa shastra medicines/mercurial Ayurvedic medicines). Kupi-pakwa medicine are cooked by placing Kupi inside a special apparatus known as Valuka yantra. Tal Sindoor is prepared from mercury (Parad), sulfur (Gandhak) and arsenic tri sulphide (Haratal). It is arsenic in combination with mercuric sulphide. This medicine is useful in skin diseases, and diseases that occur due to vitiation of Kapha (phlegm) and Vata Dosha.
Uses of Tal Sindur
Taal Sindur has blood purifying, antimicrobial activity (against P. aeruginosa, E. coli, S.aureus, S. mutans and C. albicans, etc., antiseptic, and kustha-har properties. This medicine is useful in various infectious conditions like skin problems (Kushtahara) and other conditions of infectious origin like fever (Jwara, Sannipataja Jwara), Abscess (Vidradhi).
Taal sindur is indicated in all types of the skin disorders (Sarva Kushtahara), eczema, boils, carbuncles, skin problems associated with itching (Kandu), vitiated Rakta Dhatu (Rakta dosha hara) and other diseases of infectious origin like abscess (vidradhi), gonorrhea (upadamsha), fever (jwara, sannipataja jwara) and malaria.
The Dosage of Tal Sindur
The recommended dosage of this medicine 62mg-125mg mg with ginger juice/honey/ghee, twice a day. This medicine contains inorganic material and should be always taken under medical supervision only.
